Alumni Council Elections Are Coming This Fall!

This November, the Marlboro College Alumni Association will hold elections for the Alumni Council (MCAC), with six seats to fill.

Two years ago, the Association voted to change our bylaws so that council elections take place every other year rather than annually. That change also created some complications with the staggered terms of council members, and is part of the reason we have so many seats to fill this year. We will be asking the Association to consider a further change to the bylaws to address this issue.

In the next few weeks, we’ll send out more information, including the full language of the proposed bylaw change and a form for nominating candidates for the council.

In the meantime, please start thinking about nominations! Would you be willing to serve on the Alumni Council? Is there someone else in the Marlboro community whose ideas, energy, and commitment you think would make them a good council member?

The MCAA exists because alumni have continued to put their time and energy into sustaining the connections, community, and ideals that grew out of Marlboro College. Serving on the council is one way to help decide what that looks like in the years ahead.

Keep an eye out for nominations and more information about the November election soon.
